Ultrasonic toothbrushing

Toothbrushes and floss, no matter how hard you try, do not remove all deposits on the teeth, which over time, accumulating in hard to reach places, turn into tartar. This affects both adults and children. Tartar causes inflammatory diseases of the gums and teeth: gingivitis, periodontitis, caries, periodontal disease, the treatment of which, as a rule, takes a lot of time and money. Therefore, it is best to prevent the appearance of tartar.

Tartar can be located on the surface of the teeth, and in the worst case, form in the gum tissue. Only a professional dentist will be able to remove it, who will conduct you an ultrasonic brushing session. Note that many clinics offer discounts on brushing if other treatments have been performed before.

Turn to the medical data. Typically, plaque forms right along the edge of the gums, forming a rim of pathogenic bacteria. If this plaque is not removed, then it is firmly fixed with a white hydrocarbon edge, preventing the penetration of beneficial minerals into the gum tissue. As a result, these minerals settle to the edge from plaque, further strengthening it. A periodontist is a dentist who treats gum disease. This specialist carries out a complete professional toothbrushing with special ultrasonic devices.

One of the most popular modern methods of calculus removal is carried out using a scaler – an apparatus with ultrasonic properties. It is used to eliminate old dental deposits that cannot be removed by other methods. A scaler is a tool with one sharp end in the form of a hook. It perfectly removes tartar from the surface of the teeth and gums, but it does not have access to the areas under the gum in which bacterial deposits accumulate. To remove subgingival tartar, a modernized ultrasonic scaler is used, for example, the Vector apparatus. This type of tool is able to eliminate any tartar, even in hard-to-reach places in a minimal amount of time.

Professional toothbrushing with an ultrasonic scaler is based on the principle of cavitation of water. The sharp tip of the instrument is moistened in water, which under the influence of ultrasonic vibrations with a frequency of 30,000 Hertz instantly foams and penetrates into inaccessible places of the oral cavity. Thus, the most durable tartar is eliminated without damaging the soft tissue of the gums.

Professional ultrasonic brushing is recommended a couple of times a year to reliably protect yourself from various dental diseases. You will also receive recommendations for dental care and the selection of medications. Professional doctors will select for you a program for taking vitamin products that prevent tooth decay. Specialists will develop the correct brushing technique for you.

Despite its effectiveness, ultrasonic brushing is not an expensive procedure.
